Urgent response

When we detect cases of severe acute malnutrition, we act immediately.

Some cases of malnutrition detected by Naru clearly need urgent help – usually advising the local health service, co-ordinating transport to hospital plus support during the stay there. Narú's involvment ends only when the child reaches a healthy weight and the family has learned how a recurrence can be avoided.
