Nowadays, parenting is difficult. Being a parent in an isolated environment with a low level of development is even more so. But being a single parent under these circumstances? They need a hand.
Severe malnutrition can strike any family without the resources to feed their children. But for single mothers the challenge to create an income and provide for all the needs of the family - down to finding firewood to cook with - is overwhelming. Many have gone through the painful loss of their husbands, or have been victims of mistreatment. These families are the most vulnerable of all, and our priority. We support them in every way we can.
